The pressure isn’t going to be on Apple to license proprietary technology from RIM or Microsoft. The pressure is going to be on IT departments to support open standards like IMAP, which the iPhone supports.

At least he said, “nearly.”
What’s In My Bag? http://jordanryanmoore.com/posts/2013/02/whats-in-my-bag 2013-02-25T16:18:00-08:00
Notice: You are currently subscribed to jordanryanmoore.com via FeedBurner. I will stop publishing to FeedBurner on May 1, 2013. While working on another yet-to-be-announced open-source project, I was looking for a way to manage logic for a CLI. For whatever reason, I thought using a state machine might be an interesting approach. I created the module in a single Seattle-to-Kent train commute and spent the following commute packing it up as a proper npm module. It’s a whopping 37 lines of code (plus 214 for tests).

So Long, Tumblr http://jordanryanmoore.com/posts/2013/01/so-long-tumblr 2013-01-09T07:46:00-08:00
Notice: You are currently subscribed to jordanryanmoore.com via FeedBurner. I will stop publishing to FeedBurner on May 1, 2013. The podcast typically is just two nerds talking about Apple, Apple's products, and the competition, but they have their fair share of tangents. One of those tangents is that they’re watching one James Bond movie every week, from Dr. No to Quantum of Solace. I’ve seen a few of the movies, but I’ve never seen one with Sean Connery, and I’ve always felt like I’m missing out on a big chunk of pop culture.

Although I’ve heard it’s best to keep your goals to yourself, I’m going to watch every James Bond movie. I’m sure I won’t finish them this year (there are 22 for goodness sake, with #23 in the making), and I have no plan to catch up and keep pace with The Talk Show. I do plan on writing about each one, but I haven’t decided the format. I may write a few thousand words about one and only a two paragraphs about another — we’ll just have to see how it goes.

I watched Dr. No last night, so look for a follow-up post in the next few days…
Reflection and Anticipation http://jordanryanmoore.com/posts/2011/01/reflection-and-anticipation 2011-01-10T07:59:00-08:00
Notice: You are currently subscribed to jordanryanmoore.com via FeedBurner. I will stop publishing to FeedBurner on May 1, 2013. I worked for three different companies, I was laid off, we purchased our first house, and we found out we’re having our first baby. I also bought my first Mac, joined a Mars Hill community group, and vacationed in Hawaii, but these seem insignificant compared to the crazy year I had. I recently found a draft I had written in May (just to summarize the first four months of the year) and it was several pages in length.

→ Continue reading “Reflection and Anticipation”
Must-Have Mac Applications http://jordanryanmoore.com/posts/2010/12/must-have-mac-applications 2010-12-29T07:00:00-08:00
Notice: You are currently subscribed to jordanryanmoore.com via FeedBurner. I will stop publishing to FeedBurner on May 1, 2013.
