I’m a web developer and server administrator for Artifex Business Identity Development in Tacoma, Washington. My daily development tasks primarily involve using PHP, SQL, JavaScript, design patterns, unit testing, and sprinkles of other languages and techniques. I’ve configured and maintain multiple web, database, and mail servers. For more about what I do or claim to be capable of, take a look at my resume.
I’m enrolled at the University of Washington, Tacoma, where I’m earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Software Systems. I’ll be receiving my degree in June, 2009, and I hope to attend graduate school in the fall. I currently have two Associate of Technical Arts degrees from Olympic College in Computer Information Systems and Web Development.
When I have the time, I pretend to run my own business, Sanctus Studios. Yes… I’m aware that all I have is stupid Web 1.0 “coming soon” page, but I did say “when I have the time.”
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Jackie, since July 22, 2007. Every day keeps getting better.
The back-end is built on top of the Zend Framework. I used a few other libraries in this site just to save me some time from writing boring code that some other poor college student already did. I added HTMLPurifier to filter any dirty XHTML from user input. SmartyPants and Markdown are what make the content formatting look “pretty”.
